Environmental Positions desperately required for civil projects!
Our Civil Contracting clients are on somewhat of a roll and have won a number of Projects from the CV$30m to CV$1b level in SEQ.
With the Environmental compliance to State and Federal Legislation increasing these contractors now have decided to proactively engage Environmental and Sustainability professionals to build capability and increase their chances of ticking boxes for both delivery and tendering moving forward.
Simply put, they are in desperate need of experienced Environmental Professionals well versed in supporting delivery of large projects and able to create, implement and maintain the Environmental Systems on site.
Roles we are seeking at present:
Environmental and Sustainability Advisor – DIDO West QLD – CV$100m Transportation Project
Environmental and Sustainability Advisor – DIDO West Qld – CV$50m Oil and Gas Infrastructure
Senior Environmental Advisor – SEQ – CV$200m Transportation Project
Senior Environmental Advisor – SEQ – CV$500m Transportation Project
Environmental Approvals Manager – SEQ – CV$1b Transportation Project
Reporting to the Project Manager, the candidates will be responsible for:
Identification and mitigation of areas of environmental risk
Liaising with local government and state government authorities to ensure compliance
Managing, mentoring and training a team of Environmental Advisors
Providing weekly environmental reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders
Implementing and updating the Environmental Management Plan on site
Site inspections and Audits
Keeping up to date with current legislation
Attendance and Input into Weekly Senior Management Meetings
And other duties as required.
Determination, industry knowledge, professionalism and a mining, engineering or construction background would ideal for this role, with the ideal candidate possessing an Environmental engineer qualification, relevant industry experience and proven results in a similar position.
