Project Manager – Industrial Commercial – QLD!

The current building boom occurring in Qld at the moment has meant that only the contractors with the best systems, strongest teams and those possessing exceptional relationship building skills will win the majority of the work – our client fits this bill perfectly.

Starting out as a small tier subcontractor, sticking to their strategy of maintaining relationships and building structures that are high in quality and lower priced than their competitors has seen them rise to the position of market leaders.

In2work has a long standing relationship with this client and we have been engaged by them to source an industry leading Project Manager to plan and control the construction of allocated projects to ensure completion in accordance with design requirements and time and cost constraints to achieve profit objectives

Reporting to the Operations Manager, primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and reviewing construction planning and monitor progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule, within quality and cost estimates.
• Authorising construction planning, programming and on-site completion schedules and liaise with the Site Manager over completion dates for different phases of construction.
• Supervising and scheduling the activities of the Site Manager, Site Engineers, Foremen and on-site purchasing and administrative staff to ensure coordination of the construction process.
• Coordinating and controlling site staff and physical resources to achieve construction targets.
• Liaising with the Site Manager and Design Manager to modify design in construction systems and methods necessitated by the progress of construction.
• Reviewing project costs and taking corrective action if significant deviations from budget occur.
• Coordinate the safety committee to resolve potential safety issues, and championing HSEQ systems and policies throughout the sites and Projects
• Control project programming, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration, general site administration and the activities of sub-contractors.

With Tertiary Qualifications in a Construction or Engineering discipline and substantial experience in developing relationships with internal, site based and office based stakeholders, this will be an opportunity for you to utilise your skills in alignment with one of Qlds most prominent builders.
