Business Manager - Workforce

Business Development Professional urgently required!

Our Business Partner, a Mid-Tier rapidly expanding Mechanical Contractor, has manoeuvred themselves into a project winning position for 3 bids in the Far North Qld area and also Northern Territory.

A major part of their business is their people and with the recent acquisition of another services company they feel that they are ready to grow the labour hire and human capital services division not only to provide support to their own projects but also to other 3rd party client projects.

They now seek a Business Manager to develop leads, source opportunities, engage and maintain clients and position the company within the market to take advantage of the many projects that are currently under construction Australia wide!
Reporting to the General Manager responsibilities will include:
• Developing strong relationships with key management teams across areas of responsibility.
• Developing Business Opportunities within the industry for Labour Force solutions
• Identifying Specialist positions and skillsets for specific projects and areas and provide suitably experienced and skilled employees to fill those roles
• Supporting other regions/projects during quiet periods
• Managing the end to end recruitment of workforce positions. Recruitment duties include:
o Sourcing candidates (e.g. advertise, targeted search, etc)
o Shortlist
o Phone screen
o Interview
o Reference check
o On-boarding (medicals, LOO, etc)
• Building talent pools for workforce positions.
• Preparation of employment related documentation including letters of offer and industrial instruments.
• Ensuring appropriate collation and maintenance of employee recruitment documentation
• Providing weekly reports to the General Manager

Do you possess relevant tertiary qualifications ie Trade Qualifications, Construction Industry blue and white card and relevant industry tickets with a high regard to safety?
