Our Business Partner, a Top Tier Developer Builder, seeks to take advantage of the current market boom in Brisbane and is aggressively developing its land holdings in South East Queensland. The strategy is to build High Rise residential and Commercial Towers and with the Apartment Market in particular very strong, there is also talk of Leasing to Hotels to fulfil the current drought of accommodation in the river city.



With the target to develop and build the projects prior to the Commonwealth Games in 2018 the client is fastracking development processes to be ready.

To enable the development process to quicken the idea is to onboard a Cost Planner to plan and administer sub-contractor and materials costs for assigned projects and report on contract progress costs.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, primary responsibilities include:

• Preparing Bills of Quantities and specifications for projects.
• Undertaking cost planning, cost analysis, site measurements for progress payments and variations which occur on site.
• Preparing measurements for gross lettable areas, plot ratio analysis and planning applications.
• Reporting on job progress and cost control to the Project Manager
• Preparing progress claims on clients for payment of work done.
• Checking and authorising payments to sub-contractors and major suppliers.
• Liaising with Project Managers and designers in coordination of designs and for solving related problems.
• Liaising with and provide input to purchasing and site procurement requirements.

With Tertiary Qualifications in a Construction or Engineering discipline and substantial experience in developing relationships with internal, site based and office based stakeholders, this will be an opportunity for you to utilise your skills in alignment with one of Australias most prominent builders.
