The kind of role that becomes available once in a lifetime...why not apply for it???

To suggest that our client isn’t one of Australia’s (if not one of the worlds) construction success stories would be a misnomer. With an army of staff approaching 14,000 and turnover exceeding $4b, this multidisciplinary giant operates in a variety of sectors including mining, civil infrastructure, building, electrical/power and services/remediation, outperforming its peers with regard to quality of delivery, client satisfaction, staff retention, tendering and subsequent award of high profile projects and financial success.

At a time when competitors are shedding staff and reluctant tendering for projects, our client bids for projects using their industry nous, market leading systems and complete mastery of construction and engineering techniques, and aren’t afraid to implement new techniques in order to differentiate themselves from the market if need be.

To continue with their aggressive growth strategy outlined in their Business Plan, our client seeks a Senior Candidate to fill one of the most sought after roles in the burgeoning Queensland Construction Market – that of Executive Manager – Infrastructure.

Reporting to the General Manager, QLD, The responsibilities of such a role would include:
- Advanced business acumen within a contracting environment
- Understanding of the Qld engineering and construction market
- Large and successful project Delivery experience
- Management of large teams including a diverse array of staff
- Extensive networks within the state and national contracting arena
- Advanced Business Development skills and the ability to convert, together with other staff, any potential opportunity that arises in the marketplace
- An ability to align oneself with any Joint Venture or Alliance upper management
- Strategy creation/Business Planning together with the General Manager and the ability to direct the company through any phase of that strategy
- Enhancing all internal and external relationships deemed detrimental to the ongoing growth of the business unit.

A role this prestigious would require a bachelor degree in civil construction or related technical qualifications, as well as a background in Senior Management within a Civil Contracting environment.
