Project Operations Manager – Qld

Our Business partner, a mid tier contractor with T/O in excess of CV$120m, have a long history in Qld. They have been operating nearly 35 years, and in that time they have been through booms and busts and still weathered the storms and thrived due to their ability to work with clients, provide a cost effective building solution and support their staff during these periods of change.

In2work has a long standing relationship with this client and we have been engaged by them to source an industry leading Project Operations Manager to plan and control the construction of allocated projects to ensure completion in accordance with design requirements and time and cost constraints to achieve profit objectives

Reporting to the Operations Manager, primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and reviewing construction planning and monitor progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule, within quality and cost estimates.
• Authorising construction planning, programming and on-site completion schedules and liaise with the Site Manager over completion dates for different phases of construction.
• Supervising and scheduling the activities of the Site Manager, Site Engineers, Foremen and on-site purchasing and administrative staff to ensure coordination of the construction process.
• Coordinating and controlling site staff and physical resources to achieve construction targets.
• Liaising with the Site Manager and Design Manager to modify design in construction systems and methods necessitated by the progress of construction.
• Reviewing project costs and taking corrective action if significant deviations from budget occur.
• Coordinate the safety committee to resolve potential safety issues, and championing HSEQ systems and policies throughout the sites and Projects
• Control project programming, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration, general site administration and the activities of sub-contractors.

You will possess 10 years + experience with a Mid or Top Tier builder in the Mid to High Residential Construction Market, a Tertiary Qualification in Construction and the ability to engage all stakeholders ensuring a seamless and successful project delivery.
