Our Business Partner is a Mid Tier Contractor with strong relationships within the Qld Building industry, and such is the reputation and background of this builder they can afford to be selective with their targeted bids.
Their order book is nearly full to the brim, and while most builders would be satisfied with that outcome this Builder has continued in their aggressive vein of winning work which means greater opportunities for current and future staff as the business grows.
With multiple repeat clients allocating them further projects the requirement has become apparent that they seek a Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage the project execution of multiple residential and commercial/industrial sites ranging in values from CV$20m to CV$50m.
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the candidate will be accountable for:
Developing and reviewing construction planning and monitoring progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule, within quality and cost estimates and ensuring the Builders financial position is maximised.
Authorising construction planning, programming and on-site completion schedules and liaising with the Operations Manager over completion dates for different phases of construction.
Supervising and scheduling the activities of Site Engineers, Foremen and on-site purchasing and administrative staff to ensure coordination of the construction process
Coordinating and controlling site staff and physical resources to achieve construction targets.
Liaising with the Operations Manager to modify design in construction systems and methods necessitated by the progress of construction.
Review project costs and take corrective action if significant deviations from budget occur. Report regularly to management on budgets.
Producing weekly and monthly financial and progress reports including cost to complete etc
Ensuring a safe working environment on all projects
And other duties as required.
